RATING: ♦♦♦♦
- Length of stay: 5 days
- Cost of stay: $73.00
- Discount: none
- Hook ups: boondocking, no services
- Site number/quality: #21, site was really a bit too tight for our 40′ rv, but we managed to get backed in with the help of a neighbor. Site was secluded and very woodsy and sandy, was level enough.
- Park quality: Park was exactly as described, with rolling dunes covered with maple, birch, and aspen, broken up by bogs of cedar and black spruce. The park is large, with 5 miles of unspoiled Lake Michigan shoreline. The campground is rustic, but clean and well managed. The beach is great!
- Access: Easy access, on US 31, just south of Charlevoix
- Connectivity: Verizon ok
- Return yes/no?: No, but only because our motorhome is too big, despite what they say.
- Notes: Charlevoix is just down the road from the park, and Petosky is a short drive northeast on US 31. Other small towns in the area are worth the drive. Beautiful area. We spent a lot of time in Charlevoix, and took a day trip through the Tunnel of Trees to Legs Restaurant in Cross Village.
