Arrowhead Marina and RV (GS) – Schenectady NY

RATING: ♦♦♦♦
  • Length of stay: 3 days
  • Cost per night: $33.00
  • Discount: 10% Good Sam
  • Hook ups: 50 amp electric, water, and sewer. Cable TV.
  • Site number/quality: #20. Medium sized gravel and grass pad. Fairly level. Very shaded. Park has several loops. Sites are arranged in a circle on each loop. Each RV backs in toward the inside center of the loop with the camp road on the outer edge of the loop. This makes the backs of the RVs rather close to each other but gives the fronts of the RVs wide separation with decent space between each rig. Nice arrangement.
  • Park quality: Nice simple park. Nothing fancy. Right on Mohawk River portion of the Erie Canal. Park includes marina for boats traveling on the waterway, which is part of the Great Loop. Mostly older campers. Very relaxing.Large trees throughout the park.
  • Access: Easy access off I-90 at NY-5.
  • Connectivity: Verizon strong, Cricket/AT&T strong with antenna, T-Mobile strong.
  • Return yes/no?: Absolutely!
  • Notes: Weather was beautiful. Wish we could have stayed longer. Lots to do, park is near Schenectady, Albany, and Troy. The park itself is very relaxing. We could have easily stayed for a couple of weeks. Took two day trips: one to Lake George NY and another to Bennington VT. Also saw Randy Newman in concert at the historic Troy Savings Bank Music Hall in Troy NY. He was great.
