Diamond Caverns (TT) – Park City KY

RATING: ♦♦♦
  • Length of stay: 6 days
  • Cost of stay: $0
  • Discount: Thousand Trails
  • Hook ups: Electric, water, sewer
  • Site number/quality: Don’t remember, but it was along the A row, maybe #A6 or #A7. These sites are long back-ins that are not especially level, they slope down toward the road. They are large enough, but have no privacy between sites and not much shade. Parking areas are gravel and sites are grassy.
  • Park quality: The park is ok, seems clean enough, but there are a lot of permanent residents who have the best spots. For those of us passing thru, the sites we have to pick from are the ones mentioned above, along row A, or the ones along row B which are pull-thru’s that go front to back/back to front, so you share a common outdoor space with your neighbor. They are also small sites, so it would be especially uncomfortable if you didn’t know or like your neighbor.
  • Access: Easy access, a short drive off I-65
  • Connectivity: Verizon ok
  • Return yes/no?: Yes
  • Notes: The park is just at the entrance to Mammoth Cave National Park. The National Corvette Museum a short drive down I-65. We extended our stay here due to 8 inches of snow predicted up north.
