Our Story

It has been our dream to travel the US, and that dream became a reality in June 2016 when we sold our house and set out as full-time nomads in a 40′ motorhome.

Becky retired in January 2016 from her job as Operations Manager for a small company in Toledo OH. While it was initially hard to say goodbye to a job and co-workers that she loved, she quickly turned her full attention to preparing for life on the road and the adventures that lay ahead. She’s always been a planner. So she researches fun places to go and read a lot of campground reviews before creating a route. She also enjoys fussing with the RV home and finding ways organize and redecorate.

David continued to work remotely online as a SQL Data Analyst through January 2017. The extra income was great for our budget. But it is nice to now have the freedom to choose locations based on features other than the strength of the internet connection. Once fully retired, David took photography and started our blog. He is also our chief RV driver and fixer of things that go wrong.

We are originally from Toledo OH, but we lived most of our adult lives in California. We were married in South Lake Tahoe where we were living in the early 80’s. Then we moved to San Francisco for 2 years for David to continue his education. And finally we went to San Diego where we lived for 12 years. We moved back to the Toledo area in 2005.

We have friends and family scattered all over the country, and have a lot of ground to cover to visit everybody while we are still young(!) and healthy enough to travel.
