RATING: ♦♦♦♦♦
- Length of stay: 4 days
- Cost of per night: $35/night
- Discount: Good Sam
- Hook ups: 50 amp electric, water, and sewer. No cable TV.
- Site number/quality: #104. Gravel pad, but not quite level. Concrete picnic area. Plenty of grass and trees. Wide and very deep site backing up to grassy field and forest.
- Park Quality: Very nice park. Paved loop road, mostly back-in sites, but some pull-throughs. Only complaint is that the pad not quite level. Other than that, it’s a very well maintained park.
- Access: Easy off I-10.
- Connectivity: Verizon strong, AT&T strong, T-Mobile strong.
- Return yes/no?: Would love to.
- Notes: The park is about 20 miles west of Baton Rouge in the Atchafalaya River Basin in the heart of Cajun Country. We extended our stay by a day so we could experience “Buck and Johnny’s Zydeco Breakfast” in historic downtown Breaux Bridge. Couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have a Cajun style breakfast with the locals while listening to live Zydeco music at 9:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning.
