  • Notes: Our motorhome overheated while traveling from Bend to Florence. It was Sunday, so we pulled off the highway and onto a dirt forest service road to spend the night. We called roadside service first thing Monday morning to arrange for a tow truck to get us to a truck repair shop, the closest one being Freightliner Northwest, 90 miles away in Coburg. The truck arrived about 2:00 pm, and we got to the repair shop about 5:00 pm. They started working on it right away, and discovered that a clamp holding one of the radiator hoses had broken loose. We had them repair the hose and also do a full radiator service: flushing the radiator, filling with new coolant, and steam cleaning the exterior. They were finished by noon the next day, which gave us plenty of time to get to South Jetty in Florence.
