Arabian RV Oasis (GS) – Boron CA

RATING: ♦♦♦
  • Dates: Apr 10, 2019 – Apr 12, 2019
  • Length of stay: 2 nights
  • Cost per night: $27.
  • Discount: Good Sam
  • Hookups: 50 amp, water, sewer, and cable.
  • Site number/quality: #31. We had a long pull-through site on gravel with a brick seating area.
  • Park Quality: This is a rather old park with mostly permanent campers. Nothing special. But it had hookups, which allowed us to dump the tanks, fill up with fresh water, and get some wash done before we go back to boondocking along CA-395.
  • Access: The campground is off CA-58 in the little town of Boron, a few miles west of CA-395.
  • Connectivity: AT&T was good, but T-Mobile was poor.
  • Return yes/no?: Only if we needed hookups and it was on our way.
  • Notes: We took a day trip to see the California Poppies in Antelope Valley. This year California is experiencing a super bloom, and the poppies were quite splendiferous.
