Boulder Creek RV Park (GS) – Lone Pine CA

RATING: ♦♦♦♦
  • Dates: Apr 21, 2019 – Apr 24, 2019
  • Length of stay: 3 nights.
  • Cost per night: $40.50.
  • Discount: Good Sam 10%.
  • Hookups: 50 amp electric, water, sewer, cable TV.
  • Site number/quality: #68. Nice level, wide site, with a picnic table and small shade trees.
  • Park Quality: This is a nice clean park. With so much free camping in the area, we were surprised to find it here. It gave us a chance to dump and fill, get some wash done, pick up a package delivery, and shower off the boondocking dust.
  • Access: Directly off US-395 three miles south of Lone Pine.
  • Connectivity: Verizon-Good, AT&T-Good, T-Mobile-Good.
  • Return yes/no?: Perhaps.
  • Notes: While here, we visited the Stovepipe Wells area of Death Valley National Park, which was a two-hour drive from Lone Pine over a windy mountain road. The park is huge (the largest national park in the lower 48), and all the main scenic areas are many miles from each other. It was a windy and overcast day, and it seemed like the park was not quite ready for visitors. Maybe we were there too early in the season. But would love to go back and see more of the park when we have more time to spend there.
